Vertical Industrial Leader

Our team is dedicated to improving lives and safeguarding the environment through our products and services. **What will you do?** The Vertical Industrial Lead will be responsible for activities in Canada to achieve sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer service levels. You will be responsible for Eaton’s go to market strategy, leading the development and implementation of an integrated industrial sales strategy across Eaton Canada’s Sales and Marketing organizations. This role will work closely with sales and marketing teams across the region to understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within the current industrial market and will develop processes and measurements to evaluate the organization’s ongoing industrial position. • Position Eaton as a preferred supplier in target industrial market. Responsible for delivering profitable growth as defined by the strategic plan for the industrial sales representatives. • Build strong relationship with US Industrial teams to align with priorities. • Contribute as a key member of the sales leadership team responsible for Canada wide business development to drive market growth. • Participation in the development and execution of strategic vision cultivating and maintaining senior level relationships, expanding brand awareness in the industry with promoting and selling industrial solutions. • Understand and articulate our value proposition, positioning us to take advantage of our clients’ growth strategies. • Develop and manage end to end project pursuits including driving specifications and facilitating project coordination. • Work with senior company management too develop, prioritize and implement market strategies, achieve market penetration. • Collaborate with regions and product lines to pursue new business opportunities and initiative • Lead and develop the sales team to ensure growth for the business and the team members. **What will make you successful?** The ideal candidate is a leader with strong negotiation skills and has the ability to influence and set strategic priorities at a national level. They understand the importance of customers, organizations, channel strategy and pricing to deliver support to internal and external customers. We are looking for candidates who are diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent • Proven track record leading a sales team • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of sales or marketing experience in the industrial segment • Minimum of 5 years of experience as manager of people • Must have a valid driver's licence and be able to travel up to 50% **Preferred Qualifications:** • Master's Business Administration (MBA) preferred • Experience being a leader of leaders • Prior P&L experience • Experience in an indirect sales model with agents and distribution nationwide • Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for technical degrees • Proficiency in French language is an asset • Strong negotiation skills • Market/ Customer knowledge The expected annual salary range for this role is $135000 - $169000 a year.
