UnspecifiedCollins aerospace is looking for a Machine Shop Technician – Vertical Hone - Weekend Night shift, who will be reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the Machine Shop Technician – Vertical Hone will be responsible for performing various honing duties in support of production requirements.
Work Location: Oakville, Ontario - Canada
Shift Hours – Weekend Nights – Friday - Sunday (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)
What You Will Do:
Perform Vertical Hone, hand hone, polish from drawings and general instructions. Note that the job will be heavily focused on the Vertical Hone
Work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets, blueprints & drawings
Document actions in support of quality logs and communicates all discrepancies in machining to supervision
Perform deburring, filing, polishing and cleaning of landing gear components as specified
Work in a safe team-oriented environment and participate as an active member of the implementation & execution of 'LEAN' principles
Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications We Require:
Typically High school diploma, with 1-3 years of previous Honing experience.
Experience in measuring equipment and tools.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
Qualifications We Prefer:
Certificate of Qualification (C of Q)
Experience in using Solumina and reading & interpreting latest MPS/APS
Experience with Dial bore, Micrometers / Vernier's
Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner
Verbal and written communication skills (English)
Willingness to train and multi-task within the cell
