Job Summary
This team member will be responsible for oversight the Vendor Credentialing Program to include oversight and guidance. They will work directly with the 3rd party vendor credentialing provider on system updates, annual flu and annual reset processes and ensure system accuracy through proper testing. They will also be responsible for implementing process improvement initiatives within the platform itself as well as the overall program. This team member will serve as a member of the Third Party Risk Management Due Diligence Workgroup. They will work with multiple vendors and third parties along multiple lines of business that contract, wish to contract or do business with Novant Health by ensuring they follow the proper Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) intake process while developing effective working relationships. This position will work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Compliance, Legal, People & Culture and the business unit to include Business Owners to monitor the performance, compliance and risk of vendors. The Vendor Credentialing Specialist will lead regular credentialing/onboarding calls with appropriate internal stakeholders and external third parties. They will provide training and support as needed. This team member must have the ability to work under time constraints and meet goals and deadlines. The Vendor Credentialing Specialist will delegate or be responsible to provide data upon request as it relates to The Joint Commission, various state/regulatory surveys and audits. They will also be responsible for running the monthly CMS COVID reporting. This team member will maintain a strict level of confidentiality on all matters as it pertains to third parties. In addition, the Vendor Credentialing Specialist will perform other related duties as assigned by management.
The Vendor Credentialing Specialist will provide clear communication on the expectations and guidelines associated with vendor credentialing to internal stakeholders and external third parties. He/she will ensure that incumbent vendors and third parties are following Novant Health’s policies and procedures and being properly vetted. This position will also report out on and monitor Vendor compliance by escalating/communicating to the appropriate internal stakeholders and external third parties. They will also provide recommendations for improvement and develop an action plan that renders positive and measurable results for both the Vendor/Third Party and Novant Health. In addition to managing incumbent vendors, this team member will be responsible for ensuring vendors go through the proper new intake process developed by the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team. This will ensure vendors/third parties are meeting Novant Health’s requirements and the criteria established for risk mitigation/compliance. Qualifications
+ Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
+ Experience: Two years of Vendor Management experience, required.
+ Additional Skills Required:
+ A high level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Access) and credentialing software.
+ Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
+ Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
