Vendor Compliance Specialist

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Vendor Compliance Specialist at VF looks a little like this.

As part of the VF Customer Facing Supply Chain team, the Vendor Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing and researching compliance-related chargebacks that are deducted by our wholesale customers. The Specialist will identify consistent chargeback themes and partner with the Analysts to prevent further chargebacks. The Specialist will effectively dispute charges to ensure VF will be more likely to recover funds.  

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Review customer deductions and thoroughly research and analyze why the deductions occurred within SLA.

Dispute invalid chargebacks with customers within SLA by compiling documentation and explaining why the charge is not valid. 

Provide chargeback root cause analysis and trends to Compliance Analyst and Leadership

Issue credit memos for valid chargebacks within SLA

Partner with multi-functional teams such as, Distribution Centers, Customer Services, Compliance Analyst and Managers as needed to correct ongoing issues and implement best practices.

Review requirements & verify needed exemptions on existing accounts and ensure that needed processes are in place.

Create and maintain relationships with priority customers through remote and on- site engagement.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

High school diploma or equivalent education; Associate degree preferred

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software 

Analytical and logical thinking 

Action-oriented 

High attention to detail 

Collaborates and communicates effectively 

Demonstrated ability to make quality decisions and be decisive

Location requirement: While this position is fully remote, the ideal candidate will reside within Wisconsin.

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: 

May require extensive sitting and use of keyboard/computer 

May require overtime as needed to meet demand/schedule.

Hiring Range:

$23.20 USD - $29.00 USD per hour

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
