D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Vendor Account Setup Assistant-Corp. The right candidate will perform various clerical level vendor account set up and maintenance functions with supervision from the Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepare vendor accounts for paymentIdentify vendor by type and scope of workFollow system controls including IRS reporting guidelines, insurance compliance and vendor eligibilityReview source information for all required documentsPrevent duplication and adhere to standardized naming conventionsEnsure real-time ongoing data integrityProcess high volumes of informationConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAssist corporate accounting management with related special projects as directedAbility to work overtime

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Six months to one-year related experience and/or trainingBasic accounting knowledge requiredWork well within a team environmentStrong computer skillsExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle multiple concurrent assignmentsWork well under pressure in a rapidly changing environmentHighly motivatedMust be detail oriented, have strong analytical skills and be a self-starterSound logic and reasoning skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferredAS400, JD Edwards, EMC Documentum (ECM) and/or Lansa experience preferred
