Description We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in Syracuse, New York, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will support financial analysis and auditing processes within operations, ensuring accurate reporting and informed decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate across departments and drive improvements in financial workflows. Responsibilities: • Perform financial audits and evaluate operations, focusing on revenue, cash flow, profitability, and cost analysis. • Serve as a key point of contact between the finance department and internal teams, facilitating the exchange of financial data and insights. • Assist in month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments. • Collaborate with operations, sales, and IT teams to align financial strategies with overall business goals. • Accurately input financial data into accounting software, spreadsheets, and databases. • Identify and propose opportunities to improve and automate data entry processes for enhanced efficiency. • Analyze financial trends and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making. • Ensure compliance with internal auditing standards and external regulations. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems and tools, including ADP and CRM platforms. • Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, auditing principles, and budgeting processes. • Experience with data mining techniques and financial reporting tools such as Crystal Reports. • Familiarity with capital management and cost analysis methodologies. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for improvement. • Excellent communication skills to present financial insights and findings.
