**Job Title: Upfitter**
**Job Description**
As an Upfitter, you will play a crucial role in fitting emergency and government vehicles, with a primary focus on installing emergency vehicle lighting systems. You will work extensively with 12-volt systems, and your expertise in electrical work will be vital to the role. A portion of your responsibilities will involve installing various equipment such as cages, partitions, and push bumpers on different types of vehicles.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install emergency vehicle lighting, including running wires to the ground and controllers.
+ Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components such as headlights, taillights, and interiors.
+ Install cages, partitions, and push bumpers on vehicles, ensuring proper electronic lighting and wiring.
+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for vehicle upfitting.
+ Work with 12-volt systems, including breakers, circuits, and fuses.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with 12-volt systems and automotive electrical work.
+ Ability to disassemble and assemble vehicle components.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
+ Strong understanding of electronics and vehicle upfitting.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience wiring accessories on vehicles in a professional environment.
+ Knowledgeable on fuses, amps, and watts.
+ Physical capability to bend and squat frequently, working under vehicles and dashboards.
+ Preferred experience in welding.

**Work Environment**
You will work in an open bay shop environment with shifts from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential changes. Be prepared for 5-10 hours of overtime and ensure you have your own tools. Pay ranges from $20-24/hr depending on experience
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
