Job Description Summary
The VEQ IT Leader is an individual contributor responsible for advising IT leaders at all levels with regards to IT governance, messaging, policies and procedures.
Individuals in this position serve as leaders with vision within their area of expertise, finding opportunities to improve overall IT effectiveness, efficiency and financial performance.
They lead strategic process and systems discussions with senior leadership, incorporating IT industry trends, GM IT direction and company needs to influence decision-making.
You will take on complex special assignments at the direction of the Global IT leadership and/or the accountable IT senior executive and lead complex programs and projects.
In addition, you will be a partner to influence in supporting functions - Global Product Develop, Quality and Test Labs, to develop and execute IT plans within affordability targets.
The role requires organization agility to deliver subject area results across the various IT teams; and the capability to work independently on addressing complex issues that occur across those same teams.
What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities and required skills/capabilities are dependent on subject area focus and include some of the following:
Local single point of contact for GMSA business team in support of IT requirements for GPD, Safety, Quality, and Test Labs
Work closely with global IT teams to interlock on projects, development, requirements and budget
Ensure the input, feedback and approval of requester, purchasing and Global Software Management team members
Provide guidance and direction to support execution and validate scope and negotiation activities
Understand all current software contract workstreams to identify issues and risks
Monitor project progress and provide status reports, including escalations when appropriate
Possess foresight and industry knowledge to develop and execute security awareness campaigns that address major vulnerabilities identified by IT Security and Risk Management.
Establish policies, monitoring, tools and shared processes to ensure timely and focused execution of the current epics and develop backlogs
Perform in-depth analysis of the IT project portfolio to determine opportunities for improvement in execution and planning for local GMSA business needs, and work with appropriate global teams
Develop business requirements and perform user acceptance testing for portfolio management tool enhancements for local GMSA needs/users
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other equivalent engineering degrees.
Solid experience as a technical project lead or project manager with proven experience in accomplishing project deliverables and goals
Demonstrated proficiency in project management skills, especially within automotive product lifecycle,
Demonstrated skill to deliver results in a complex and highly demanding deployment process: addressing multiple high priority topics with success.
English Level Advanced

Automotive experience
Understanding of the Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP)
Understanding of PLM applications, such as Teamcenter, NX, TcVis
Experience leading meetings
Demonstrated drive for results and teamwork in project execution.
Demonstrated analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
Outstanding verbal, writing and presentation skills.
Understanding of vehicle quality and safety areas
