The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Journeyman VDI Systems Administrator to join our team to support U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Enterprise Operations in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth and efficient implementation of changes across USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).
This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities:
Assists in designing and implementing VDI solutions as a service under guidance from senior team members in support of warfighter experience (WX) services
Applies technical knowledge on VDI architecture, performance optimization, and security practices to support DoD IL4–6 security needs
Contributes to analysis of alternatives for different business needs and helps develop designs for selected solutions
Provides technical support for customer disaster recovery/COOP issues
Assists in creating POA&M deliverables for recommended modifications and upgrades to servers, software, and services, as well as Testing Procedures Documentation and Reports
Uses monitoring tools to identify potential incidents or degradations of services, applications, or networks
Responds to incident management system requests for technical support
Helps identify and correct substandard performance issues after initial troubleshooting
Performs Change Management (ChM) according to documented enterprise policy and standards
Installs, configures, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, and repairs virtual desktop infrastructure and servers
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
Functions as a technical contributor on project assignments
Qualifications:
Required:
US Citizen with active Secret security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)
Desired:
Experience in a large, distributed IT enterprise
Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles

The proposed salary range for this position is:
