VDC Specialist
Job Title: VDC Specialist Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled BIM/VDC Specialist to join our dynamic team. The role involves providing models and documents essential for project completion, as well as maintaining efficient BIM processes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to assemble 3D content, create project documentation, and support operations with BIM-related items. A strong understanding of construction documents and project BIM requirements is crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities + Provide models and documents necessary to complete project scope as determined by VDC/BIM leadership and project teams. + Assemble 3D content modeled by others and model any content not provided. + Learn and maintain a productive and efficient BIM process. + Create and maintain clear and effective project documentation, such as meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and constraint logs. + Support operations with the RFI process for BIM-related items. + Maintain working relationships with subcontractors and project teams. + Assume responsibility for learning VDC processes and standards and apply them to assigned projects. + Read and comprehend construction documents and project BIM requirements, applying them to VDC processes. + Incorporate design updates into project models. + Analyze construction documents and models, look for errors and omissions, and make corrections as necessary. + Support operations with self-perform model management and layout. Essential Skills + Proficiency in structure design and Autodesk Revit. + Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD. + Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Proficiency in MS Office. + Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a construction-related field of study. + Minimum of 2 years construction or related experience. + Minimum of 2 years BIM-related experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Tekla is a plus. + Experience in design and construction. + Proficiency in Trimble SketchUp. + Demonstrated expertise in managing VDC processes for self-perform concrete projects. + Knowledge and practical experience in modeling, detailing, and managing concrete work within a self-perform environment. Work Environment This role is based in an office setting, providing a professional environment for collaboration and project management. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $48.08/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
