Job Description Summary

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a passion for indirect tax? Join our dynamic global finance team as a VAT Analyst and play a key role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic support across our EMEA operations.

The VAT Analyst is supporting VAT compliance and reporting activities across the EMEA region. This role provides technical VAT expertise to ensure accurate and timely filings, adherence to local regulations, and alignment with group policies.

The position plays a key role in coordinating with regional controllers and external advisors, supporting indirect tax compliance, and contributing to the integrity of VAT reporting processes. It also focuses on improving standardization, enhancing controls, and driving consistency in VAT methodologies across EMEA entities, while offering a strong development opportunity within a dynamic, international environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

VAT Compliance Support:

•                Provide VAT guidance to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams under supervision with the senior VAT analyst.

•                Assist in the review of VAT returns across the EMEA region.

•                Coordinate with external advisors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate filings.

•                HeIp maintain accurate records of VAT registrations and related documentation.

Data and Systems Maintenance:

•                Support the maintenance and update of VAT codes in internal systems (e.g., WDY, YARDI).

•                Assist in testing system changes and updates related to VAT processes.

Payments and Reconciliations:

•                Support the processing of VAT payments and refunds.

•                Assist in the VAT reconciliation process, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Audit and Inquiries:

•                Provide documentation and support during VAT audits and tax authority inquiries.

•                Help gather and organize data required for audit responses.

Training and Communication:

•                Participate and contribute in VAT training sessions and workshops.

lntercompany Transactions:

•                Assist in reviewing intercompany billing transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment.

Process Improvement:

•                Collaborate with finance and technology teams on VAT-related improvement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

•           Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

•           1-2 years of experience in VAT compliance or indirect tax, preferably in a multinational environment.

•           Basic understanding of VAT principles, especially within the EMEA region.

•           Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., WD, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

•           Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.

•           Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
