VAT Analyst

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Budapest, Hungary as a VAT Analyst. Use your VAT compliance and accounting skills to support our mission.

What you will do:
 

Preparation and review of VAT Returns, Intrastat Reporting, and EC Sales Lists within the EMEA region.Support and manage complex VAT returns and queries, ensuring compliance with EMEA VAT requirements.Implement and maintain internal control checks and reconciliations throughout the reporting and filing process to mitigate risk.Support day-to-day VAT activities across the EMEA region, applying VAT knowledge to address complex issues with management.Take a leading role during external and internal audits within the Centre of Excellence and provide support for other external and internal audits within the wider organization.Contribute to the success of the company by delivering timely and accurate work products that meet or exceed expectations.Collaborate and support other team members to achieve collective goals.
 

Who we are looking for:
 

Proven experience in VAT compliance.Ability to interpret VAT rules across various European countries.Part-qualified or fully-qualified accountant desirable, but not essential.Proficiency in MS Excel and competence in using in-house applications.Desirable experience with reconciliation accounting software.Flexible and adaptable with a desire to grow within a fast-paced environment.
