Vascular Technologist II

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Vascular Technologist, you will perform non-invasive vascular diagnostic examinations to assess blood flow and detect abnormalities in arteries and veins.

Every day you will prepare patients, operate specialized ultrasound equipment to capture and evaluate high-quality images, and precisely document findings for physician interpretation.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in vascular ultrasound, a comprehensive understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology, and strong analytical and communication skills for accurate diagnostic information.

Performs all duties of a Peripheral Vascular Tech IPrepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, other diagnostic areas to ensure that the patients receive their diagnostic procedures in a smooth, efficient and safe manner.Performs portable examinations at the bedside to ensure patient safety as well as provide immediate diagnostic testing when needed.
Job Requirements

Required

Associates Other in a related medical field, which may include course training in cardiac ultrasound and Two (2) years related experience, upon hire andRegistered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire orRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire orRegistered Vascular Specialist, upon hire orRegistered Vascular Technologist, upon hire andBasic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days

  The Woodlands Hospital a primary and secondary care hospital serving North Harris and Montgomery counties. Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital.
