General Description: Modesto Christian is interested in coaches who are committed to a walk with Jesus Christ, have the ability to lead young men in a Christian setting and are uniquely qualified for coaching their sport. We have a long tradition of excellence here at Modesto Christian High School. This role takes on the responsibility of leading our football program. Included in this role are: Coaching the varsity football team. Hiring of coaches within your program. Assisting the Athletic Director with scheduling of games. Maintaining all required NFHS certifications yearly. Maintaining your programs equipment and facilities. Organizing off-season workouts and strength programs for your team. Coaching Qualifications: 3 years of previous coaching experience is expected Responsibilities: -Modesto Christian is looking for the following characteristics in their coaching staff: -Spiritual Leadership - Be a role-model in speech, actions, and attitude consistent with Christian. . - Models’ personal growth and a relationship with Christ. - Actively demonstrates respect for coaches under all circumstances. - Is able to deal with misunderstandings among athletes, parents and staff. - Accepts and teaches the self-worth of each athlete as created in God’s image. - Actively looks for the unique gifts and talents of each athlete and uses these to positively impact the team. -Should be able to be professionally calm and motivationally intense.
