Value Stream Manager
**Job Description** As a Production Value Stream Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of daily operations for an assigned production value stream. Your goal will be to ensure that products are safely manufactured, delivered on time, and within budget. You will lead cross-functional problem-solving, provide clarity and focus to teams, and drive rapid resolution of issues. **Key Responsibilities:** + Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production value stream, including coordination of changes with scheduling, resource allocation, equipment, and workflow management. + Identify and lead activities that optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards and meeting production delivery requirements. + Be accountable for SQDCP performance and reporting of company KPI targets for your production value stream. Identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions. + Support the compilation of labor forecasts for both Estimates to Completion (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EACs) for support and touch employees within your defined area. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PMO, engineering, quality control, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of production plans. + Lead, mentor, and create a One Team mindset for an entire value stream team of supervisors, production workers, and cross-functional teams. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback. + Manage inventory levels and production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize lead times. + Work with your Value Stream Leader to develop strategies, prioritize, communicate, and manage operational priorities and initiatives for the year. + Review and generate reports detailing product status, direct labor utilization, efficiency, scrap, rework, and defect data. Participate in the development and execution of plans to address unfavorable trends or variances. + Support the implementation of new systems, procedures, and work instructions, and special projects supporting manufacturing and customer service objectives. + Ensure compliance with all company and OSHA-regulated safety requirements/standards, and environmental and ethical requirements. **Management Responsibilities:** + Manage a cross-functional team across a single production value stream product line, with direct and indirect supervision of employees, across all operating shifts and assigned supporting functions. + This role will own the SQDCP KPI s and be the lead change agent to drive out waste throughout the manufacturing and operating processes. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + An associate or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or other strongly related disciplines. + Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience. + Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with:Leading daily operations in a value stream, managing both direct and indirect cross-functional teams.Capability to identify, adjust, and correct processes and systems within a manufacturing ERP system.Identifying and driving process improvements using lean manufacturing and analytical/data-driven methods in a cross-functional, matrix-driven environment.Manufacturing management, production control, manufacturing engineering, operations excellence, and quality. + Ability to rapidly review, analyze, and implement complex processes. + Previous experience working in a government contract environment. + Ability to lead and manage in a cross-functional environment with complex issues and rapidly changing priorities and assignments. + Proven track record of strong collaboration and team-building skills in creating a one-team environment. + Able to obtain a Secret level security clearance. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience managing in a Union environment. + Large product machining, welding, and fabrication process knowledge. + Extensive experience within Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning system. + Strong knowledge of Production Control and Quality Control processes requiring serialized tracking and traceability. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
