Value Stream Lead
Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Value Stream Manager to lead the daily operations and strategic planning of a high-performance pharmaceutical diagnostics value stream. This role is accountable for coordinating shift activities, driving cross-functional alignment, and ensuring the seamless execution of production plans while maintaining compliance, safety, and quality standards.

Job DescriptionResponsibilitiesOversee the end-to-end operations of the value stream, ensuring daily targets for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and training are met.Coordinate shift activities across multiple teams, ensuring effective handovers and continuity of operations.Lead daily tiered accountability meetings and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to remove bottlenecks and optimize flow.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve OEE.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including yield, cycle time, downtime, training compliance, and 5S audit scores.Foster a culture grounded in standard work and 5S principles, ensuring visual management, workplace organization, and process discipline are embedded in daily routines.Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, HPRA, and internal quality standards across all operations.Support the onboarding and development of team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.Lead future capacity planning and resource alignment to meet evolving business needs.Partner with scheduling and planning teams to ensure alignment of production plans with material availability and staffing.Champion a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to all EHS protocols and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.Solid experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or diagnostics environment.Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production setting.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement tools.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and production planning tools.Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive results.
