With a focus on civil and structural engineering, the Value Engineer (VE) on the Product Team is able to independently locate, understand, investigate and independently challenge the technical details of assigned BWRX-300 systems. The VE will generate cost optimization ideas, build business cases, and influence the broader teams to execute plans to realize savings for the business. The VE manages their ideas through execution, aiding the execution teams by presenting at approval forums and breaking down barriers. In addition to this, the VE will lead sessions to continually develop ideas to pursue. This in an influential role within the organization, and building teamwork is essential to success. This role will mainly be focused on the BWRX-300 Product in the near-term, with opportunities to expand to additional products in the future.
The Value Engineer will support internal customers at times and will also support customer-specific project work as well. At times, the Value Engineer will be assigned tasks that require self-teaching in new areas and will require supporting or developing new processes and documents where none currently exist.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Utilizing previous nuclear engineering experience, identify and challenge plant designs in the name of cost savings.Generate cost optimization ideas through a rigorous cost data analysis and/or developing new approaches to established processesConduct analytics and parametric modeling to assist management teams in setting cost targets and to support the organization in negotiation and translation into business case / projectsChampion the VE process with functional organizations (Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing) to drive resource allocation and pacing through the lifecycle of project ideas. This will include ideation, business case development, activity planning, project management with execution teams, execution & value realizationDrive implementation of project plans until full value capture across core systems, VE will conduct teardowns, ideate, and support should-cost efforts to identify potential for reducing cost and balancing valueThe VE will support the efforts of the Systems Architecture team. This will include supporting technical decisions with cost inputs (tradeoff analysis), and presenting or leading discussions at engineering forums, including customer meetings.Other tasks as assigned by the Value Engineering manager.Required Qualifications

The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $170,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday August 22nd
