Job Description

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Validation Engineer and be part of a team that aims to deliver exceptional solutions! You'll be at the forefront of ensuring flawless calibration and validation of equipment and systems in our region. This role offers the outstanding opportunity to engage in Practical Process Improvement projects and contribute to our engineering functions, including maintenance and equipment selection. As a member of our dedicated team, you'll develop procedures and protocols and play a pivotal role in problem-solving initiatives.

Responsibilities

Show a strong dedication and quick response to internal and external collaboratorsEnsure outstanding conformance to quality systems, including ISO 9001 and cGMPDevelop, deliver, manage, and continuously improve the site master validation and metrology programsAssist with engineering responsibilitiesCommunicate effectively with operational teams to resolve quality procedural and validation variancesHead and engage in quality advancement endeavors related to validations and engineeringEngage actively in audits conducted by customers and regulatory authorities.Carry out tasks in compliance with procedures to meet quality objectivesContribute efficiently to quality advancement teams and foster teamwork between different departments

Personal Attributes & Skills RequiredBachelor's degree in a scientific/engineering field or equivalent experienceDesired background includes prior experience as a validation technician within a cGMP or analogous regulatory setting, particularly within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, or dairy sectors.A strong background in production process and/or manufacturing engineeringTechnical knowledge in cGMP validation concepts and techniquesHighly self-directed, results-focused, and a great teammate with strong communication skillsWorking ConditionsWork in a manufacturing and laboratory and office environmentStand for long periods while performing dutiesWork safely with chemicals, biologics, and hazardous materialsWork overtime when required, with some 24-hour on-call dutiesOccasional travel may be required
