_Validation and Verification Intern – Smart Energy_ _**Location:** Mexico City, Mexico_ _**Department:** Smart Energy – Validation & Verification_ _Job Summary_ _Join the Smart Energy team as a Validation and Verification (V&V) Intern, contributing to the development and testing of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and utility software platforms. You will support the verification of system requirements and ensure the reliability and performance of smart energy solutions._ _Key Responsibilities_ + _· Assist in executing scenario-based and non-regression test cases for smart energy systems._ + _· Support the validation of SDR and safety-related requirements using structured verification modules._ + _· Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily standups._ + _· Collaborate with test engineers, software developers, and product managers to identify and resolve defects._ + _· Document test results and contribute to verification reports._ + _· Engage in firmware embedded training and workshops to build technical proficiency._ _Learning & Development_ + _· Exposure to real-world utility software challenges including distributed energy resources and data fusion._ + _· Mentorship from senior engineers in the V&V and software development teams._ + _· Training in embedded systems, cloud-native platforms, and automated testing strategies._ _Required Qualifications_ + _· Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field._ + _· Basic understanding of software testing principles and system verification._ + _· Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and test automation tools._ + _· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills._ + _· Effective communication and teamwork abilities._ _Internship Goals_ + _Demonstrate potential through soft skills and adaptability._ + _Engage in team meetings and contribute to feature development._ + _Shadow senior engineers and participate in mentorship programs._ + _Complete training modules and present learnings to peers._ Honeywell helps organizations solve the world's most complex challenges in automation, the future of aviation and energy transition.
