Job Title: UX Designer
Job Description

Join our dynamic User Experience (UX) and Digital Customer Experience team in IT as a UX Product Designer. This role is perfect for a thoughtful, empathetic, and experienced UX professional with a deep understanding of UX best practices and hands-on experience in interaction and visual design, information architecture, user research, and UX strategy. You will have the unique opportunity to transform large, complex applications into simple, intuitive experiences, wearing many UX hats as you conceptualize, prototype, present, and deliver various UX deliverables.

ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with a cross-functional team using agile methodology to define user stories and UX deliverables.Influence design and product owner decisions based on UX best practices, design principles, and research.Collaborate with developers to implement solutions effectively and efficiently.Collect, analyze, present, and action feedback, managing changes to deliverables.Present work clearly and compellingly to stakeholders, explaining design recommendations using best practices, research data, or business rationale.Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences.Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.Develop and maintain detailed specifications and design patterns.Gather and translate rules and assets into UX systems, programs, and enterprise solutions.Prepare, manage, update, and distribute UX documentation.Advocate for the user and collaborate with business owners to develop features and flows aligned with user needs.Create research strategies based on project KPIs and develop usability test plans, scripts, and scenarios for prototypes.Use research techniques to determine ease-of-use and comprehension of designs and ideas.Design, recruit, schedule, and moderate usability studies and user interviews.Provide timely status reporting on all projects and manage communications necessary to complete projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in Figma, interface design, wireframing, and UX research.Usability testing experience with 3+ years in UX.Experience with information-dense or employee-facing applications.Capability to handle many stakeholders and work with ambiguous requirements.Experience working closely with developers from inception through implementation in an agile environment.Advanced analytical skills to solve complex data problems and implement sustainable solutions.Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, product lines, roles, geographical and time zone boundaries.Knowledge and proficiency using remote unmoderated testing tools and moderated testing devices and platforms.In-depth understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Library Sciences, or related discipline, or equivalent experience or training.Understanding of user-centered design principles and trends in web and app design.Organizational skills to label, classify, and intelligently build flows and wireframes for complex computer applications.Experience rapidly iterating designs for user testing and delivery to development teams.Experience in responsive, adaptive, and accessible designs.Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and communicate effectively with non-technical users.Any airline experience is a plus.Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite, with Monday and Friday remote. The team consists of 40 people, with a culture that is outgoing, relaxed, and supportive of a collaborative work environment. The team encourages creativity and humor, fostering a culture where micro-management is not prevalent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.00/hr.
