The project employs a mixed methods design involving focus groups and surveys. This position provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both qualitative and quantitative research, working closely with an interdisciplinary team of educational researchers and computer scientists. **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities** * Assist with participant recruitment and communication (e.g., sending IRB -approved emails, tracking responses). * Support data collection, including conducting focus groups and administering surveys. * Manage data organization, secure transfer, and transcription. * Conduct qualitative data analysis, including open and focused coding and thematic analysis under supervision. * Contribute to quantitative data analysis as needed (e.g., descriptive statistics, ANOVA , regression). * Prepare figures, tables, summaries for manuscripts, and conference abstracts. **Qualifications** * Current enrollment in a PhD program in education or a related field. * Strong background in qualitative research methods; additional training in quantitative approaches is desirable. * Prior experience in qualitative data collection (e.g., interviews, focus groups) is highly desirable. * Proficiency with qualitative software (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA , ATLAS .ti) and willingness to learn quantitative software. * Experience with survey platforms (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics) preferred. * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. **Compensation & Time Commitment** * $15.00 per hour. * Expected time commitment: ~19 hours per week during the academic year, with potential for increased hours during summer. * Duration: 9 months, with possibility of extension contingent on funding and performance. **Application Process** If you are interested, please send you curriculum vitae to Dr. Ting Sun at Ting.Sun@hsc.utah.edu. and apply online. **Minimum Qualifications** **Preferences** **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
