Job Title: Utilization Manager- Region 5 Field Office- Savannah Pay Grade: K Workplace: Hybrid- 3 days per week in office. Travel: 50% travel Job Summary:
Serves as the Regional Field Office subject matter expert on the tiered funding structure and the additional staffing (AS) review and approval process
Reviews and processes additional staffing (AS) requests within required timelines
Communicates with providers to obtain all necessary information to allow timely completion of the AS process
Identifies and tracks provider agencies in need of training based on incomplete or inappropriate submissions for AS
Provides training or technical support to providers on the AS process as needed
Incorporates assessment findings and performs calculations as necessary to determine appropriate levels of staffing for individuals, including shared staffing settings
Uploads AS Letters, Adverse Action Letters and related documents into IDD Connects and collaborates with Operations Analysts to ensure that accurate prior authorizations are generated
Coordinates with I&E Manager and PLA Supervisor to ensure timely completion of provider site visits by field office staff; ensures tracking of site visits is maintained
Serves as the Regional Field Office subject matter expert on emergency respite supports
Serves as Access Coordinator for language translation services
Oversees outgoing and incoming region to region transfer requests and communicates with field office staff, counterparts in other field offices, or support coordination agencies to quickly resolve any issues that may result in delays
Responds to requests for assistance from individuals in services, families, court systems, partner agencies and other stakeholders.
Verifies that housemate matching and healthcare plans and protocols have been established and trained on prior to any move
Monitors and approves community transfer requests and presents transfer requests for individuals in the ADA agreement group to the Transition Fidelity Committee or the Forensic Community Coordinator for approval
Other duties as assigned by the Regional Services Administrator; this may include assisting in other regions
Limited statewide travel including occasional overnight stays
Preferred Qualifications - External:
Masters Degree
Experience working with individuals supported via waiver funded intellectual/developmental disability services
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel
Experience with IDD Connects

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional job-related experience which includes one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Prgm Consultant 2 (SSP041) or position equivalent.
