Utility Worker I - Environmental Services - St. Joseph Warren Hospital
Shift/Schedule:
PRN - This position works "as needed hours"Shift Time - This position works a variable work shift schedule.This position will have scheduled shifts every other weekend and Every other Holiday.Job Summary:
This Utility Worker I is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of all patient areas, work areas, offices and public areas. The Utility Worker I must practice good cleaning habits to provide a safe and sanitary environment for all patients, visitors and staff.
Essential Functions:
Performs sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and additional cleaning functionsTransports trash, hazardous waste, soiled linen, and recyclable trash to appropriate disposal areasReplenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas and patient roomsInspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair as well as report any problemsFollows all safety and sanitation regulationsDemonstrate proper use of Personal Protective equipment (PPE)Other duties as assignedEducation:
High School Degree or GED preferredExperience:
No experience required; On-the-job training will be providedPrevious experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferredSkills & Abilities:
