ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
Oversee utility vegetation management operations within assigned territories, ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, and client standards
Track project checkpoints and coordinate ongoing work to ensure timely and efficient completion
Monitor and report on construction and field activities, maintaining accurate and detailed records
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure contract compliance and identify corrective actions when needed
Collaborate with client, property owners, utility departments, local governments, and stakeholders to resolve concerns and facilitate communication
Schedule, attend, and lead project meetings; document key takeaways and action items
Assist in developing and managing forestry work plans and associated budgets
Conduct site patrols to assess vegetation and environmental conditions, and develop actionable short- and long-term plans
Perform crew safety observations and deliver safety training in accordance with organizational policies
Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets for vegetation management and transmission line projects
Maintain GIS-based records and reporting systems; provide training to contractors on proper usage
Manage client database programs and construction project files
Coordinate and support the daily activities of forestry crews, planners, auditors, and utility foresters
Technical support for field personnel, foresters and utility staff
Document compliance with resource protection measures and ensure regulatory adherence
Submit daily activity and progress reports in a timely and accurate manner
Promote and support a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Strong understanding of utility vegetation management, environmental regulations, and project compliance
Candidates shall have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with computers, office equipment and data entry equipment.
Two or four-year degree in a related field is preferred
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and GIS or forestry management tools
Skilled in project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting
Experience with Billing/Invoicing preferred
Ability to interpret technical documents such as maps, reports, and construction plans
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently
Adaptable to field and office environments, with willingness to travel as needed
Commitment to safety protocols and promoting a culture of compliance and accountability
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Arboriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
ISA Certified Arborist (or obtain within 6 months)
OTHER PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
ISA Utility Specialist, ISA TRAQ, UVM certification, and PMP certification are preferred/pluses
