Mars Petcare (Greenies) is looking to hire a Utility Machine Operator at our climate-controlled Kansas City, MO location!

Utility Machine Operators are learning to become experts in their assigned area and are highly functional in multiple areas.  Utility Machine Operators must work safely at all times.  They will ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and drive continuous improvement. 

Utility Machine Operators function as a member of an area team which is directly responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities.  They operate/change over specified machinery in the assigned area in the prescribed amount of time.  Utility Machine Operators must have the skill set to perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed.  This job requires Strong Communication, Interpersonal and Team Building skills to support site objectives.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma/GEDStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer skillsPassion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment1 year of manufacturing experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 40lbsStanding for extended time periods & mobility to climb stairs and ladders

Moving packaged product off the production linesReading and verifying date codesPacking materials from the linesCounting bonesFeeding bags onto the lineInserting promotional materials into product packagesMaking boxes/traysMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentActive participation in the Safety ProgramsAbility to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude.Demonstrate a food safety quality culture in actions, words, and spirit.General packaging and other productions duties as assigned
