Utility Operator Job Description

All employees will have required daily job duties such as but not limited to:

Daily Activities:

Truck Loading Container Offloading Shop Maintenance Tank Measuring Pump Maintenance Hose Cleaning Strainer Cleaning Paperwork such as (Truck Inspections, Tank Measurements, Etc…) Lawn maintenance (Mowing , Weeding)

Basic Skills:

Employees should have basic pump knowledge, truck loading ability, and an understanding of how to use power tools. Employees should be punctual and have a willingness to learn. Be courteous to others and have good communications skills.

Basic Abilities:

Employees will be required to lift up to 75lbs. Employees will enter confined spaces. And the employee will need to work in all different types of environmental conditions. The ability to climb stairs while carrying items is necessary. The ability to read a tape measure.

Job Overview:

The employee will load trucks and container daily. They should expect between 3-6 trucks or containers per day. When not loading or unloading, the employee will be required to keep the shop clean, which may include, but is not limited to sweeping, wiping down equipment, painting, etc.. The employee will also need to keep the lawn maintained. On some occasions the employee may be required to enter a confined space wearing a rubber suit and respirator.

Employee Requirements:

The employee will work from 6:30 am – 2:30 pm Monday – Friday. There are occasions where overtime is required. Work is expected to begin promptly at 6:30 each morning. Currently aTWIC card is not necessary, but may be required in the near future. The employee must have the ability to pass a background check as well as a drug test. The employee must be physically able to handle lifting up to 75lbs by themselves. The employee should be capable of handling working conditions such as rain, heat, cold, and high humidity. The employee should have reliable transportation.
