**Primary Job Function:**
This position supports utility and mechanical operations by focusing on the onboarding process and the ongoing implementation and compliance with the site’s training procedures. The role is responsible for delivering on-the-job training to new team members, either personally or by coordinating with other qualified trainers, in accordance with established training processes. Additionally, this role partners with the broader organizational technical training strategy to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
**This role is responsible for:**
+ Developing a standard interpretation of regulatory guidance and feedback for Abbott and facilitating deployment to the divisions.
+ Developing, assessing, and communicating key metrics related to product submissions and facilitating implementation of best practices in design and development.
+ Providing senior management with assessment of submission risks and potential impacts to both regulatory submissions and sustainability of commercialized products.
**The candidate must be able to:**
+ Can operate the equipment / complete the tasks associated with the area they support and train for
+ Conducts and/or coordination of OJT for area team members new to the function / role or for periodic assessments of ongoing skills and demonstrated competency.
+ Provide SME insight and support in updates as periodic reviews occur
+ Oversees the administration and tracking of the OJT process, including support of the Certified Job Trainers/Learning Mentors. Utilizes the tools to evaluate the consistency and effectiveness of the site process.
+ Monitor and track department training activities by area of support (OJT schedule adherence, cross-training, rotations).
+ Assist in the development (as an area/task SME) and completion of annual and requested training for area personnel.
+ Provides daily guidance and direction to personnel in training personnel on task assignments and expectations
+ Partner in the development of cross-training matrices for operational functions and determine gaps / necessary steps to build departmental flexibility and competency.
+ Work to address new team member concerns related to their OJT training and tools.
+ Ensure that the site training tools and processes are followed and adhered to by site personnel in their respective area(s).
+ periodic learning assessments on critical tasks are complete and documented with any action items outlined for gaps.
+ flexible in work schedule to accommodate training needs of a multi-shift operation, initiating a routine presence on off-shifts.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ A High School Diploma / GED
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Minimum 2 years of related job experience
+ Experience in a field-based sales/service/support role necessary.
+ Must have an understanding of basic learning principles and adult learning theory.
+ Presentation skills, and consultative skills necessary.
+ Must have diagnostic product knowledge.
+ Have a demonstrated, proven track record of driving toward results.

The base pay for this position is $28.25 – $56.45 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
