Job Purpose:
The Utility Mechanic is responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving mechanical systems in the factory’s utility areas. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installation of new equipment, and supervision of contractor work, ensuring equipment efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain utility equipment and machinery. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Install and commission new or repaired utility equipment. Supervise and control contractor maintenance work. Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, applying 5S3R principles in the workplace.

Requirements:

Diploma in General Mechanic (Level 4/5) or BSc in Mechanical Engineering. 3–5 years relevant work experience in mechanical maintenance. Intermediate English proficiency (oral & written) and confident MS Office skills. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Scissor lift operation certificate (work at height) preferred. Proactive, energetic, and safety-conscious with strong problem-solving abilities.
