We are looking for a dedicated Utility Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. ResponsibilitiesProvide direction and supervision to support utilities system maintenance and operation.Coordinate the operation and maintenance of HVAC, chiller, boilers, air compressor, WFI, and RODI systems.Collaborate with the validation team to complete the qualification and re-qualification of facilities and utilities systems.Draft and prepare maintenance and operation SOPs and PM plans for utility systems.Manage utilities and facilities systems-related changes and deviation management.Cooperate with internal and external audit teams.Complete small CAPEX projects related to utilities and facilities systems.Develop and implement utilities and facilities shutdown plans.Review as-built drawings, engineering technical data, and performance data.Support third-party vendors in performing routine inspection, preventive, and corrective maintenance.Ensure compliance with maintenance based on site engineering and quality requirements.Complete all routine maintenance works as scheduled and in compliance with engineering standards and safety procedures.Accurately complete and process all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities.Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.Minimum Requirements/QualificationsEducation:
University degree in engineering or equivalent experience.Experience:4 to 6 years of proven experience in the maintenance of utilities and facilities systems, including validation/GMP issues.Experience with Building Management Systems and Environmental Monitoring Systems.Understanding of electrical standards and local requirements, and general electrical safety standard methodologies.SAP/CMMS experience is an advantage.Proficiencies:Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.Strong planning, scheduling, organizing, prioritizing, and project coordination skills.Deep understanding of facilities systems related to validation/GMP requirements.Strong troubleshooting skills with knowledge of various RCA tools.Capable of working independently and performing machine maintenance work.
