At Corteva, we’re looking for a User Research Intern to help us build a thriving product discovery practice. You'll support product discovery by facilitating research execution and handling the logistical aspects of the user research process and relationships with our end users - helping to strengthen current practices and find opportunities for improvement. You're right for this role if you are detail-oriented, collaborative and humble, have a can-do attitude and you're naturally curious.
What You'll Do:
Support senior user researchers to conduct cross-cutting user research, utilizing methodologies including but not limited to interviews, surveys, and usability testingSupport research initiatives in the US and BrazilHelp define research questions, identify methodologies and methods, design protocolsHelp design and build out surveys in QualtricsHelp conduct stakeholder interviewsHelp design and conduct qualitative interviews and usability testing with participantsEngage with Dovetail to analyze data and produce actionable insightsWrite reports and present learningsCollaborate with user researchers and product domain teams (Product Managers and Product Designers in particular) to understand research needs and recruit the right participants for research studiesCoordinate recruiting user participants and scheduling feedback sessions over Microsoft Teams and in personSupport management of participant pools for ongoing research studiesScreen candidates for availability, interest level, and appropriate qualifications using online questionnaire responses, when appropriateManage participant communications (sending out invitations, confirmations, reminders) and scheduling of research appointments via Microsoft Outlook.Support product domain teams and user researchers to ensure logistics and materials for feedback sessionsMaintain records of invitations sent, opted-in research participants, and each research project for which they have participatedWhat You'll Bring:
Undergoing a BA/BS or graduate degree in HCI, Psychology, Human Factors, or equivalent practical experienceDesirable to have some experience conducting research and coordinating projects and resources as part of an agency, research consultancy or product company for research, preferably in a software companyBasic knowledge of User Research and research participant recruitment best practicesBasic knowledge of human subjects research methodologiesBasic knowledge of qualitative coding and quantitative data analysis methodsSelf-starter who is able to identify gaps and opportunities to create more efficient processesFamiliarity with agriculture / farming preferred; enthusiasm requiredGood interpersonal skills, with ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationshipsGreat written and verbal communication skills
