Role and Responsibilities
Supervises the logistics process, guiding the suppliers and the freight forwardersTakes on the role of interface between Avio Aero suppliers and plants and works out logistic disconnectionsIdentifies the critical aspects of the logistics process and proposes solutionsMonitors the freight forwarders performance thru suitable KPI’sContributes to control and optimize Logistics costs, by defining and proposing cost reduction projectsIdentifies actions to reduce transportation process variations by applying Lean/Six Sigma tools and best practicesIs engaged in transportation compliance aspects to include transportation – air modeMonitors the military export licenses renewal due to the expiration either by validity period or by value exhaustionRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college and minimum of 3 years external logistics and or/ international logistics experience (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in external logistics and or/ international logistics experienceNOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
