About the team:
The Dynamic Inventory team is integral to Walmart’s operations, focusing on forecasting product demand and optimizing inventory placement across distribution centers. The team develops advanced ETL and machine learning pipelines to support precise demand estimation and inventory management. Operating across locations including Sunnyvale and Bangalore, members collaborate to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions. The team applies expertise in platform design, API development, and continuous integration to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency, contributing significantly to Walmart’s ability to meet customer needs and maintain seamless product availability.
What you'll do:
Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to develop high-level designs during project discovery phases.Analyze and troubleshoot business and production issues, performing root cause analysis and developing effective solutions.Translate project requirements into technical solutions, write and test code, and ensure timely delivery of software components.Support users by addressing technical questions and guiding implementation strategies.Mentor small engineering teams, providing documentation, direction, and timelines.Implement coding standards, automate routine tasks, and ensure security compliance in software development.Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and evaluate change requests.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments.Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and coding standards using languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C#.Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex production issues.Ability to develop scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions aligned with business requirements.Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation scripting.Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, project management, and user experience.Knowledge of test case creation, execution, and defect management to ensure high-quality software.Demonstrated capability to lead small engineering teams and mentor associates effectively.
