Senior Manager, Insights Consulting – Customer & Market Intelligence
POSITION SUMMARY
Walmart is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Senior Manager of Customer Insights to lead macrotrend analysis and uncover how evolving social, economic, and cultural dynamics are shaping customer behavior. This role will be instrumental in guiding Walmart’s customer strategy by identifying emerging patterns in retail spending, lifestyle shifts, and sentiment across diverse U.S. demographics.
This position requires a strong foundation in consumer research, trend analysis, and strategic storytelling.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Research Expertise: 5-7 years’ experience in insights, including designing and executing end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research studies, data synthesis, and reporting.Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.Strong analytical skills with experience in synthesizing large datasets and translating them into actionable insights.Tools & Platforms: Experience with research tools and platforms (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, Mintel, syndicated data, survey platforms).Project Management: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities.Vendor Management: Experience managing third-party research vendors including contract negotiation, scope definition, and quality assurance.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Sociology, Marketing, or related field and 5+ years’ experience in marketing research, data analytics, consulting, or related fieldOR
7+ years’ experience in marketing research, data analytics, consulting, or related field
Preferred Qualifications

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
