The Fellow role is a hands-on role that supports architectural designs and advisory within the Omni Platforms and Tech team. This is a highly technical role positioned uniquely to drive disruptive growth across key priorities by leveraging differentiated technical prowess. The right candidate would be required to go deep into specific application and services, and work on higher-level multi-domain system designs, transcending functional boundaries. They would also be responsible for curating, mentoring, and training a vibrant engineering micro-community within the team.
About Team:
The Omni Commerce Platforms and Tech team is responsible for building platforms, features and capabilities to support retail globally. This team facilitates the digital and physical orchestration of items for the Walmart+ member and customer experiences, as well as enables Walmart’s global Marketplace, omni supply chain, transportation, merchandising and stores.

In this role, you will provide direct support and engagement to engineering teams, improve designs, reduce complexity, and contribute to adoption of better practices and strengthened expertise. This role contributes towards larger systemic decoupling, and better shared standards. You will work to elevate the entire engineering organization and improve the overall quality, stability, and availability of our production systems.
Some key responsibilities include:
Lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams to build and scale highly reliable, secure, and performant platform / products and frameworks.Drive a results-oriented culture with a strong focus on engineering excellence, execution and propagate build for scale mindset.Develop trusted partnerships with developers, business partners, product, and architecture leaders to drive optimized platform / product delivery.Lead complex technical and strategic discussions that involve multiple personas including engineering, architect, product, associate, and other stakeholders.Assess and leverage technology when appropriate from Global solutions existing in Walmart ecosystem to build / leverage scalable and innovative solutions.Build, mentor, and teach a community of engineers within ADE, and act as a central resource to provide advisory on complex projects and issues.Possess a high sense of urgency to solve problems and executing them with ownership.
