US Federal SAP Ariba and Fieldglass Administrator
**Introduction** . **Your role and responsibilities** IBM CIO is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator to support our U.S. Federal SAP Ariba and Fieldglass environments. This role is based in Research Triangle Park, NC, and will focus on the operational stability and continuous improvement of these critical procurement platforms. As a key member of the support team, the System Administrator will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, resolving production issues, and ensuring seamless user experiences across the procurement lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience with enterprise SAP systems in a highly collaborative and mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: * Production Support & Troubleshooting - Serve as the primary Level 2 support contact for SAP Ariba and Fieldglass production issues. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system incidents in a timely and effective manner. * Issue Management & Escalation - Open and manage support tickets with SAP and other service providers. Track issue resolution progress and ensure timely communication with stakeholders. * Configuration & Testing - Implement configuration changes and fixes in production environments. Conduct thorough testing to validate solutions and ensure minimal disruption to business operations. * System Administration - Maintain system health, monitor performance, and ensure user access and permissions are properly managed. Support master data maintenance and workflow configurations. * Collaboration & Communication - Work closely with Procurement Operations and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver high-quality technical support. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Continuous Learning & Documentation - Stay current on SAP Ariba and Fieldglass updates and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, support procedures, and known issues. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field * Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to assess complex system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. * Effective Communication - Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. * Initiative and Ownership Proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing improvements, and following through on tasks with minimal supervision. * Collaboration and Teamwork Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, partnering with business and technical stakeholders. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Testing and Validation - Experience with functional testing, regression testing, and validating configuration changes in enterprise systems. * Technical Aptitude - Familiarity with enterprise SaaS platforms; prior exposure to SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, or similar procurement systems is a plus. * Customer Service Orientation - Demonstrated commitment to providing responsive, high-quality support to internal stakeholders and end users.
