**Job Description**
The Department of Urology at Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an outstanding academic urologic oncologist to serve as Director of the Bladder Cancer Program and Director of the Robotic Cystectomy Program. The successful candidate will be recruited at the Associate Professor or Professor level depending on qualifications and academic accomplishments.
Mount Sinai is home to one of the leading bladder cancer programs in the United States and the #1 bladder cancer program in New York City, offering comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with non–muscle invasive and muscle invasive bladder cancer. The program integrates advanced diagnostics, clinical trials, precision oncology, and minimally invasive surgical innovation, including a highly developed robotic cystectomy platform.
The incoming Director will provide clinical, academic, and strategic leadership to further expand the program’s regional, national, and international impact.
The search is open to outstanding candidates from the United States and internationally, with a strong track record in bladder cancer care, robotic surgery, research, and program leadership.
**Qualifications**
+ MD or equivalent medical degree.
+ Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology (or international equivalent).
+ Fellowship training in Urologic Oncology preferred.
+ Demonstrated expertise in robotic cystectomy and complex urinary reconstruction.
+ Strong record of clinical excellence, research productivity, and academic leadership.
+ Eligible for faculty appointment at Associate Professor or Professor level.
Compensation range from 650K to 1M (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

**Responsibilities**
**Program Leadership**
+ Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the Bladder Cancer Program.
+ Maintain and grow Mount Sinai’s position as a regional and national leader in bladder cancer care.
+ Develop clinical pathways and quality metrics to ensure best-in-class patient outcomes.
**Robotic Cystectomy Program**
+ Lead and expand the robotic cystectomy program, including innovation in minimally invasive and reconstructive techniques.
+ Standardize protocols for robotic radical cystectomy and urinary diversion.
+ Mentor faculty and fellows in advanced robotic oncology surgery.
**Multidisciplinary Collaboration**
+ Work closely with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and translational research teams.
+ Lead multidisciplinary bladder tumor boards and clinical program development.
**Research & Academic Leadership**
+ Develop and lead clinical trials in bladder cancer.
+ Promote translational research initiatives in immunotherapy, biomarkers, and surgical innovation.
+ Contribute to high-impact publications, federal grants, and national research collaborations.
**Education & Mentorship**
+ Train and mentor residents, fellows, and junior faculty.
+ Develop educational initiatives in robotic bladder cancer surgery and oncologic management.
**Program Growth & Reputation**
+ Expand patient access through regional and international referrals.
+ Represent Mount Sinai at national and international academic meetings.
+ Collaborate with institutional leadership to strengthen Mount Sinai’s global reputation in bladder cancer care.
