Please send CURRENT resume with a cover letter chnaso@Amergis.com Responsibilities + Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs. + Support children with speech, language, and communication challenges within educational and clinical settings. + Implement therapy activities designed for early intervention and pediatrics under supervision. + Help prepare therapy materials and maintain a clean, organized treatment environment. + Monitor and document client progress accurately, updating records such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals and reports. + Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive support strategies. + Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and adapt therapy approaches as needed. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician. Minimum Requirements: + Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program + Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract + Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Skills + Experience working with children in educational or clinical environments. + Knowledge of pediatrics, early intervention strategies, and speech therapy techniques. + Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology. + Understanding of medical procedures and documentation requirements within acute care or school settings. + Ability to apply physiology knowledge to support clients’ speech and swallowing functions. + Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. + Passion for helping students improve their communication abilities through compassionate care.
