Job Description
This position involves traveling to multiple offsite locations to collect blood specimens for diagnostic testing. We are seeking someone who is proficient in phlebotomy, comfortable working independently, and dedicated to providing patient-focused care in community settings.
ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and specimen collection at designated offsite locations following safety and procedural standards.Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of specimens for proper processing.Safely store and transport specimens to maintain sample integrity.Deliver empathetic, high-quality service to patients across diverse environments.Coordinate scheduling and routing to optimize timely collections.Keep phlebotomy equipment and vehicle clean and organized.Essential SkillsProficiency in phlebotomy, blood draw, and specimen collection.Phlebotomy certification.Strong customer service skills.Experience in laboratory settings, drawing blood, and collection.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.At least one year of phlebotomy experience preferred, especially in mobile or outpatient settings.Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record.Reliable transportation (vehicle or mileage reimbursement available).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.Work Environment
The position follows a schedule between 5am and 2pm and is based out of Derby, CT. It involves traveling to different client sites. The work environment emphasizes flexibility and adaptability, requiring a professional demeanor in diverse settings. Phlebotomists are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization of their equipment and vehicles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Derby, Connecticut.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
