**Job Title: Bench Assembler** **Job Description** The Bench Assembler will be responsible for assembling manufactured products and packaging them according to specifications. This role involves following the quality management system, work instructions, and procedures to ensure a quality product is manufactured. **Responsibilities** + Assemble fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions. + Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build products to specifications. + Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies. + Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed. + Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. + Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements. + Understand and interpret design data (Drawings, Bills Of Material, etc.). + Make decisions regarding product acceptance per product documentation and company workmanship criteria. + Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group environments. + Ability to use a computer. + 2-3 years of previous bench assembly experience. + Complex assembly experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preferred experience with BAC5000 sealant. + Production and Processing knowledge of raw materials, assembly processes, and quality control tools. + Education and Training knowledge of manufacturing documentation including work orders, blueprints, customer specification materials, and the bills of material (BOM) process. + English Language knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Project computer programs and software. + Experience with GSS systems. **Work Environment** This role is based in a sub-assembly and machining plant for aviation components. The work environment requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and performing tasks in close physical proximity to other people. The role involves repetitive movement, sitting for extended periods of time, and working on a computer.
