UVA Community Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at UVA Health Piedmont Urgent Care Warrenton. This practice builds upon a long-standing legacy of care in the Fauquier community and expands access to high-quality urgent care for patients throughout the region.
As part of UVA Health, you’ll have the backing of a nationally recognized academic health system while working in a well-established, community-centered practice.
Position Highlights:
Location: Warrenton, VA
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
Coverage: Shared rotation for evenings and weekends
Volume: 25–45 patients per day
Systems: EPIC EMR
Support: On-site Radiology and Lab at Piedmont Family Medicine
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive patient care, including history, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold safety and infection control standards.
Deliver superior communication and customer service to patients, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years in a physician practice or urgent care setting.
Licensure/Certification:
Current NP or PA license in Virginia
Active DEA registration
ACLS, PALS, and DOT certifications preferred
Board Certification: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (required).
Skills: Confident working independently, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and commitment to patient-centered care.
