Urdu Regional Media Analyst Job Category: Intelligence Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None * * * **The Opportunity:** As a CACI Urdu Regional Media Analyst, you will support the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Public Affairs Office (CCPA) which serves as the principal advisor to the Commander on all public communication and supports the command'stheater objectives. CCPA supports the command's obligation to keep the American people and regional audiences informed about USCENTCOM operations that lead to defeating our adversaries, improving regional stability, and promoting and protecting U.S. interest in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR). Responsibilities: As an Urdu Regional Media Analyst, you will serve on the team of regional media specialists working in the U.S. Central Command Public Affairs Office. You will support USCENTCOM’s Public Affairs mission by providing cultural advice; monitoring regional media; and, under Government supervision, preparing and posting content for USCENTCOM’s Urdu language social media sites. Duties include: • Track key regional media outlets to provide cultural and politico-military context to current events and offer advice to U.S. Central Command’s Public Affairs Office by writing media analysis reports on a weekly basis. • Translate news articles and engagements from Urdu to English and vice versa. • Provide cultural advice to ensure the proper context of communication plans, messages, and talking points. • Analyze and assess key events in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility based on knowledge of cultural context and recommend strategic responses. • Track penetration and resonance of quotes and statements to measure the effectiveness of themes and messages. • Monitor and engage on Urdu social media outlets such as forums, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc. • Manage and update U.S. Central Command’s Urdu language social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree • Active Secret security clearance • Five years of relevant experience • Must speak, read, and write Urdu; native Urdu language proficiency required • Internet research and social media experience • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Ability to exercise sound judgment in a dynamic and highly political environment is required • Must exhibit excellent organizational, time management, writing, editorial, and presentation skills • Fluency in written and spoken English Desired: • Master’s degree • Experience as a cultural advisor • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of U.S. military operations • Experience and/or training in public affairs, public relations, journalism, corporate communication, or marketing • TS/SCI security clearance - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
