Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Urban Planner to join our innovative team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our rapidly evolving city through strategic urban development initiatives and sustainable planning practices.

Develop and implement comprehensive urban planning strategies aligned with the city's long-term vision and goalsLead the design and execution of large-scale urban development projects, ensuring adherence to local regulations and best practicesAnalyze complex data sets and create detailed reports to inform decision-making processes and policy recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists, to create integrated urban solutionsConduct thorough site analyses and feasibility studies for proposed development projectsPrepare and present urban planning proposals to stakeholders, government officials, and community groupsOversee the development and implementation of zoning regulations and land use policiesIncorporate sustainable development practices and smart city technologies into urban planning initiativesManage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetsStay abreast of emerging trends and innovations in urban planning and sustainable developmentMentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the urban planning department

QualificationsMaster's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, or a closely related field; Ph.D. is a plus3-6 years of progressive experience in urban planning or a related field, with a focus on large-scale urban development projectsIn-depth knowledge of urban planning principles, practices, and sustainable development conceptsProficiency in urban planning software, including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant toolsStrong data analysis and visualization skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it clearlyExcellent project management abilities, including experience in managing multiple projects simultaneouslyOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiencesThorough understanding of zoning regulations, land use policies, and urban planning legislation in Saudi ArabiaDemonstrated experience in incorporating smart city concepts and technologies into urban planning initiativesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindsetProven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExcellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire team membersFamiliarity with local and regional urban planning regulations and development practices in Saudi ArabiaWillingness to adapt to changing priorities and embrace innovative approaches to urban planning challenges
