Urban Outfitters is searching for a Manager of Digital Merchandising to lead our team and shape the future of our online presence. Role Responsibilities Lead a Customer-First Strategy: Drive all site merchandising efforts with a customer-first approach, optimizing product prioritization based on performance data and investment.
Develop a Strategic Roadmap: Create and manage a divisional digital strategy roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance sales and elevate site merchandising.
Collaborate and Execute: Establish streamlined processes with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of seasonal launches and promotional campaigns.
Manage Performance: Oversee category sales and conversion growth by strategically placing products across the site, marketing initiatives, outbound messaging, and promotions.
Curate and Create: Develop curated trend groups for site messaging and outbound content that resonate with customers, drive sales, and support divisional priorities.
Partner with Buying: Collaborate closely with Buying teams to pinpoint key opportunities and ensure alignment with overarching business objectives.
Test and Learn: Develop and implement a test-and-learn framework to validate merchandising hypotheses and inform future strategies.
React to Business Needs: Attend weekly business meetings to identify and act on opportunities for reactionary messaging that supports immediate business needs.
Analyze and Optimize: Conduct regular analysis of reporting to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
Conduct Audits: Perform routine site audits to guarantee a best-in-class customer experience, from product selection and placement to site navigation.
Educate and Innovate: Provide ongoing support and education to internal stakeholders on website merchandising best practices. Lead a team that embraces innovation and continuous learning, staying informed on industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
Role Qualifications6+ years of digital merchandising experience, with a proven track record of driving revenue in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
3+ years of people management experience, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a high-performing team.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a strong command of data and a passion for uncovering insights.
Able to make timely decisions, anticipate problems, and provide creative solutions that drive business results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with web content management systems.
Proactive with a healthy curiosity for new ideas and industry trends.
Buying experience is a plus.
Related bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Must be able to work in our Philadelphia office a minimum of 3 days a week.
