Position Summary
Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Operations Manager to lead our Ultrapure Water & Wastewater Treatment organization. This leader will oversee the Ultrapure Water (UPW) Engineering, Wastewater Treatment (WWT) Engineering, Controls Engineering, and Project Management teams. You will be at the forefront of ensuring 24/7 operational excellence, safety, and innovation across our water/wastewater utilities and infrastructure projects.
This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for driving the performance of utility systems that are essential to semiconductor manufacturing, as well as leading capital improvement projects that ensure reliability, expand capacity, and support our long-term vision for sustainability and innovation.
Role and Responsibilities
Job DescriptionHere's What You'll Be Responsible For:
Manage all aspects of the WTR UPW and WWT Operations team. Supervise, mentor and lead our supervisors, operators, and technicians and embedded contractors in strategic and tactical activities within our water treatment plants.Create a safe, high quality and collaborative work environment, ensuring work is managed effectively through the ownership of the daily OPS/MX/ENG Coordination meeting.Advocate and support our 6S Strategy by ensuring the continual integration of 6S activities into operations and maintenance practices. Remain informed of all work being performed on the IWT systems, their potential impact, and guide the team to develop mitigation plans to control possible operational risks.Provide system support and direction, serving as a primary point of contact and preparing briefings for executive management. Desire to assist in problem solving and troubleshooting on UPW-IWT systems / technology.Develops and monitors performance metrics, identifies positive and negative fluctuations, and empower the team to make appropriate coordinated improvements.Skills and Qualifications
Here's What You'll Bring to Samsung:
4-year degree preferred15+ years of experience in a facilities environment, with 10 years in supervisory positionStrong technical background – with particular ability to understand, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial process systems.Familiarity with Ultrapure Water and Industrial Wastewater technology (BIG PLUS), and mechanical maintenance program management.Executive-level Communication Proficiency, with Ability to Translate Organizational Strategy to Tactical Execution.Join us in shaping a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered!
