How will you make an impact?

Responsible for developing or transferring upstream development processes to support cGMP biopharmaceutical processes in manufacturing. You will work within an interdisciplinary team of scientists where you will learn and supply your skills and ideas to projects.

What will you do?

Perform laboratory experiments to support the production of recombinant proteins (including mAbs). Perform media optimization, seed train development, bioreactor process development, and cell culture clarification.Interpret client documents and literature to strategize approaches for successful development activities.Responsible for performing in-depth analysis of analytical data and collaborate with the analytical team for method lifecycle review.Communicate findings and discuss relevance of your data to a multi-discipline team consisting of downstream process development scientists, analytical and formulation scientists, quality assurance, process engineers and our customers.Author, review and approve reports, study plans, protocols, SOPs, and work instructions. Document execution and results according to good documentation practices. Willingness to work weekends on a rotational basis. Infrequently, international travel (≤10%) and participation at international calls throughout various time zones may be requested. Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilitiesExperience handling and maintaining mammalian cell culture with a proven understanding of cell and molecular biology.Technical experience with the following processes: bench scale bioreactors, pilot scale bioreactors, high throughout AMBR bioreactors, perfusion processes and Design of Experiments.Understand ICH guidelines to prepare for process characterization and process validation and qualification activities.Ability to work independently with excellent communication and prioritization skills.

Work Schedule

This is a full time Monday – Friday, alternating weekend coverage, estimated 41 hours a week.
