UPMC is seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our Environmental Services Float Pool, serving across multiple hospital campuses in Oakland—including UPMC Mercy, Montefiore, Magee-Womens Hospital, Presbyterian, and Shadyside. In this vital position, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors, while gaining exposure to a variety of hospital settings and teams. There are varying shifts available! 

Responsibilities

*Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors. *Performs other duties as assigned. Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures. Follow all safety and sanitation regulations. Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor. Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor. Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned. Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. assigned. Remove trash from all assigned areas. Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to ensure adequate supply.
