Upholstery Technician

Position Summary

The Upholstery Technician is responsible for cleaning, preparing, sewing, and installing various pads and covers to be utilized within Life Time facilities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Manage various pads for upholstery covers, remove staples and old pad covers from in stock inventory of fitness equipment pads, gym wall pads and pool lounge chair pads

Sew diaper wraps, quad wraps, and standard wraps

Box up completed orders to be shipped to Life Time facilities

Maintain and inventory location supplies, materials and equipment

Minimum Required Qualifications   

High School Diploma or GED

CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire

3-5 years of experience

Ability to operate basic machinery and tools

Ability to multitask and learn quickly

Awareness of potential injuries and ability to handle emergencies

Ability to measure, pattern, cut and install vinyl covers

Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs

Ability to take and fulfill orders in the specified time frame.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years’ experience using a commercial sewing machine.

Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Excel
