Upholstery Lead
**Job Title: Upholstery Lead** **Job Description** As our Upholstery Lead, you will be at the forefront of a growing area in our manufacturing operation, helping to build out and optimize our soft seating line. You will work closely with departments like Engineering, Product Development, and Supply Chain to oversee day-to-day upholstery production, implement process improvements, and assist in launching new, innovative seating solutions that support modern learning environments. **Responsibilities** + Lead and develop our soft seating upholstery department, working side-by-side with plant leadership to establish efficient workflows and high production standards. + Collaborate cross-functionally to bring new products to life on time and within budget. + Optimize production by monitoring equipment needs, supply usage, and maintenance schedules. + Train and support team members, ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met. + Monitor KPIs like material waste, indirect labor, and production timelines to ensure performance targets are achieved. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in upholstery applications, preferably in soft seating. + Proficiency in sewing and upholstering. + High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training is a plus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Solid knowledge of upholstery processes, equipment, and techniques. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and spend most of the shift on your feet. **Why Work Here?** Our organization values its employees, evident in the average tenure of 11 years and strong job tenure.
