Cross-trained as a Cardiac Monitor Technician who is responsible for identifying normal rhythms/dysrhythmias and lethal arrhythmias, reporting these findings to the appropriate personnel and labeling and mounting rhythm strips. Required skills includes performing, interpreting and understanding EKG tests. May also provide constant visualization of appropriate "at risk" patients and their environment. They notify the nursing staff when the patient needs assistance and when there is a potential or present safety issue/event.
