Job Summary

The unit support coordinator provides guests information, as well as, supports the efforts of the unit staff in the following ways:

performs designated duties under the supervision of a professional nurseHandles clerical and specific administrative tasks for the nursing unit, including assembling patient records, answering phones and answering patient callsOrdering and ensuring delivery of suppliesTimekeeping via KronosWelcoming new patients and families to the unitOrientation to patient / family areas of the unitAdditionally, the unit support coordinator can assist the unit leaders in disseminating pertinent information to the staff.
